The Meaning Behind the Design

Designed in 2018 by Daniel Quasar, the progress pride flag features the traditional LGBTQ rainbow flag that we’re all familiar with, but with added meaning.
This flag contains extra colours in a chevron shape that are meant to represent trans, gender non-binary, intersex, and others across the gender spectrum. Brown represents people of colour, with the black stripe representing those that the community has lost due to the AIDS crisis.

The chevron points to the right to show forward movement with the hoist on the left edge signifying that there is still plenty of progress to be made.
